Fulfill the promise to build one million affordable homes!
Governor Newsom, let's solve the affordable housing crisis!
California needs one million new affordable homes to address the housing crisis and build a future of shared prosperity.
Community leaders, service providers, affordable housing developers, organizers and advocates have come together to develop and align around a transformative housing strategy so all Californians have a place to call home.

Together we can build a California where we can all thrive.
Imagine if in SIX years California has built one million affordable homes. Millions of workers, families and seniors are living together in healthy, stable places. Everyone can afford to pursue their career goals or hobbies, and take time off to spend time with loved ones because they are only paying 30% of their income towards housing.
One Million Affordable Homes by 2030
In 2022, Governor Newsom and state leaders set a goal to build one million new affordable homes for low-income working families by 2030. But to date, our leadership has only funded 12% of what is needed. Even worse, our state legislators cut $1B from our housing and homelessness budget, allocating less than 1% of the annual budget to housing in 2025 and failed to place a housing bond on the November 2024 ballot to raise revenue.
